Caddies, the sealed, wipe-clean bins that sit on the bench or under the prep station, do exactly that: scrape into the caddy, not the general bin. What size caddies do you provide?
From small 7 to 23 litre bench caddies up to larger wheeled bins for collection. We match the caddy to each station and your overall volume.
How is this different from food recycling?
Same destination. The caddy is the front-of-process container that makes separation easy for the team, and it feeds your food waste collection, which goes to anaerobic digestion.
How often are they collected?
As often as hygiene needs, typically several times a week for a busy kitchen, more in summer. We set the frequency with you and adjust as needed.
Is this a commercial service or for households?
Commercial only. FJL is a business waste and recycling provider, not a domestic service. We collect from offices, shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels, warehouses, industrial units and trade sites. If you run a business and produce this waste, we can take it.
How does pricing work?
A clear monthly price based on the containers and collection frequency you need, with no long lock-ins. Fuel surcharges and any price changes are flagged in writing before they apply, and most businesses that switch to us pay less than they did before.
Do you provide the bins and containers?
Yes. We supply the right containers for the stream and your space as part of the service, from caddies and clear sacks to 240 to 1100 litre wheelie bins and larger containers for higher volumes.
How quickly can we start?
Usually within the same week. Call before 11am and we can often arrange a same-week start, and we will handle the changeover if you are leaving another provider.
